What We Believe in.

Different Together.

Diversity, equity and inclusion are key factors at BSH.

As a global company, we have built our success on the fact, that our differences always make us stronger. That is why we value the uniqueness of each employee and see diversity as a key factor for long-term business success. Only by including everyone and ensuring equal opportunities we can unleash our full potential.

Since diversity, equity and inclusion are essential for us as a company, we do not just view them as empty words to be put on a banner. Making use of the decisive advantages and different perspectives it is essential for our success and a key driver for innovation and transformation and therefore something we actively apply to our daily business.

We do so with a huge variety of trainings, guidelines, activities and networks within and beyond the borders of BSH. Here are only some examples:

  • Regular training sessions on topics like unconscious bias, intercultural effectiveness or female leadership.
  • Yearly “Diversity Week”, devoting a whole week solely on diversity related topics within BSH.
  • Family friendly work models, allowing for mobile working or flexible working time.
  • Reverse mentoring programs, strengthening collaboration between different generations of employees.
  • BSH employee initiative our network “Colors of BSH”, in order to value the appreciation of our employees regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
  • Member of various international diversity, equity and inclusion programs like “Charta der Vielfalt” or “PROUT AT WORK”

A lot of this hard work is already paying off. For example, in the last seven years, we have increased the number of women in managing positions from 22.5% to 27%.

Our Corporate Philosophy

BSH has developed a common understanding of good cooperation, excellent leadership and an effective organization: 'We LEAD BSH'. At its core, 'We LEAD BSH' consists of ten principles. Every employee should act according to these, in order to jointly drive BSH's success.

We Believe in a Feedback Culture

It does not matter if you are just starting your career or if you are working on an executive level: we can always improve ourselves and learn from others. Giving and receiving feedback is an essential element of this. Here at BSH, we foster a feedback culture on every level of the company with a variety of tools and trainings. For example, with the training “Feedback is a gift” we raise awareness about the importance of feedback, practice how to give and seek good feedback and learn how to incorporate feedback in our daily live.

We Communicate Openly Across All Levels

Committed and satisfied employees are at the heart of a successful company. This is why we maintain a constant dialog with all our employees. For example, we conduct on a regular basis employee survey as a central way to listen to our employees, which is the starting point for a good communication. Additional feedback tools, such as our Feedback Explorer or a Feedback Express Workshop also promote mutual open dialog.

While individual ideas and skills are important for success, we know that no single person can do everything on their own.
